Egan says: MyPa have suffered from erratic form in pre-season, and the loss of Fofana and Kangaskolkka has made them a much less classy team. Webster and Votinov have shown promise, but will need to adjust to the league quickly. New captain Tuomas Aho and coach Janne Lindberg will need to keep their heads to ensure MyPa are not sucked into a relegation struggle.

Juha says: A difficult one, really. Some good signings there, but quite a lot on the minus side too. If MyPa avoid major injuries and generally do a good job, they could well find themselves somewhere around the 6th place. The various uncertainties outlined by Egan above and some bad luck could see MyPa fall closer to two-digit positions.

1. Realistically, how will your team do?

Mypa is one of the biggest question marks for the upcoming season. 13 players left Mypa and 12 new guys came to fill those blank spots. Biggest losses goalkeeper Janne Korhonen and last seasons best striker Tarmo Neemelo. Our strikersin particular are too young and inexperienced for this level. If some of those “young guns” scores over 10 goals and midfield works fine Mypa will fight for medals. Realistically I would say we will finish between 5-7.

2. Which teams did you like and dislike most last season?

Well, I like easy opponents so I liked KooTeePee and KuPS. Dislike? HJK!

3. What was the best moment of last season?

0-3 win against Haka.

4. What was the worst moment of last season?

Two first games in league, we lost both games 2-0.

5. If your club wasn’t in the football business what other business would it be in?

I cannot imagine any other business.. Football is the name of the game!

6. Who will win Veikkausliiga and who will go down? (Just the names will do)

Honka will win and RoPS is going down.
