Swedish players renewed their credibility this weekend after weeks of relative frustration. While five found there way onto the scoresheet, Johan Elmander`s nightmare continues. The player once earmarked as future of Swedish football has only scored nine goals since arriving at Bolton in June 2008.

Scandinavians endured a mixed weekend as most of the football concerns were on matters such as transfers rather than what was actually happening on the pitch. Five Scandinavian stars managed to get on the score sheet, others outlined their value to their clubs as their main assets(notably Pedersen) and some just had a pain in the jaw with what was going on around them.
